All 8.2 device trees have been updated with "le-dt-id" field to allow to identify them for the device tree auto-update feature. You can safely use an "old" 8.1.x device tree with 8.2.0.1 build.

LKkdji For Minix U1 insert it contacts down, branding up. Press it inside the card slot until you hear a click.

8.2.0.1 scheduled for upload. I will update the changelog later today. Please update your device trees with this release as it would allow the new feature - automatic device tree update - to work for the future builds.

We are assuming you followed the instructions for your particular box ?
Funny thing - you quote my post but this isn't something that I wrote. Looks like someone decided to edit my post without telling me. I hope that this method works.

Each microSD card or flash drive worked with LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.2-8.1.10.img.gz and gxm_q200_2g.dtb without any problem.
Why don't you use it if it works? I cannot support device trees provided by other users, especially when they come without a source code. My device tree repo is open for PRs if anyone wants to contribute.

jd17 If you show us your dmesg, we can determine if your device has eMMC or NAND. Remember to collect it after a fresh boot.

What about Kodi 17.5 on your Mac?
-
I can boot just fine from SD with the regular non-nand device tree - everything works.
This means you should work non-nand device tree. Everyone should use it for a S905X box unless internal memory is not visible in installtointernal script. Most of the boxes have eMMC, apparently there are cheaper eMMCs than NANDs.

Koyo Turn off automatic frame rate adaptation in Kodi settings.

He can't boot up with nand suffix device tree when booting from SD Card.
He gets a Black screen.
I don't know if he can SSH whilst the black screen occurs ?
If you provide a wrong device tree, the device doesn't boot into LE and you can't SSH to it. The easiest way to restore the box should be USB Burning Tool.

jd17 Try to reinstall Android (using recovery or USB Burning Tool), then run installtointernal again.
-
It would be great if you could update your installation instructions, on how to make a backup of the recovery.img and dtb.img files you mention. I prefer to have original backup, rather than trying to use one from internet.
Instructions are up to date. The scripts will automatically create a backup of both recovery and dtb on your SD card/USB drive.

Can you confirm that the issue goes away when you downgrade to 8.1.8 on your S912 device that the log is from?
Can you check if the issue is present on a non-LE machine, e.g. run Kodi on a Windows/Linux PC?

I suggest you redirect this question to a person that provided you this build.

Before someone asks: build 8.1.10 is Krypton 17.4 with some additional patches that make it "almost" 17.5. Thus I won't rush a next build. I am preparing a build based on Kodi 17.5, it should be out this week.

That kind of issue can only be solved by providing a proper device tree...
