This is a USB driver bug that I have been trying to solve for a long time with no positive result, I'm afraid. If all is working well for you with "official" LE kernel, please use Raybuntu's build, it may be better than mine for Odroid-C2.

jochen02 Try using official LE build or Raybuntu's build if you need media_build drivers.

I compiled test1 version with all patches from LibreELEC/linux-amlogic. Additionally I have this patch: PD#116363: dvb: fix pointer from 32bit to 64bit · kszaq/linux-amlogic-le@a38b9dd · GitHub - it proved to be needed for some users before. TVHeadend was compiled from a clean state. At this point I cannot recompile everything with different headers as that kind of addon update would cause breakage for previous version users.

Frankly I don't think it's a good idea. Addons are the same, it would only cause confusion. The only issue is with Sundtek and I will recommend to install DVB plugins from Raybuntu's repo in case of issues.

chessplayer Thank you for testing. I won't provide any more TVH test builds as changing headers requires 100% clean build to make sure that they are applied... I will keep the fix from test1 in my future builds. If you want to use VDR, please install it from Raybuntu's repo, it should work.

chessplayer Can you please check whether this version of TVHeadend works for you with test1 (i.e the "best" build so far) and both of your tuners:

ChimeyJimmey Amazon/Netflix is software decoded (in LE) and has to be rendered using OpenGL. There are no proper libraries for S912 which means that software rendering will look bad.

Okay, so it looks like I need to recompile DVB addons but first check if internal tuner works with Raybuntu's version.

Most possible reason is that this board requires a bootloader on SD card / eMMC.

Basically I updated my 3 units of MXQ with the LE 8.2, and, all the functions work except Wifi and cable network. The behaviour is very estrange because wireless detect my wifi but doesn't obtain a dhcp address, and cable interface shows when I (un)plug RJ45 from base connector. If I configure it as static, simply, it doesn't have connection (tested with all dtb files s905 1G 8G). Even I've tested a usb/network adapter and works (as expected).

Everything in your dmesg looks OK. All drivers are present in my builds. Try a clean install.

You can also try to delete connman cache: rm -rf /storage/.cache/connman

CPU does process subtitles but they have to be rendered somehow and it's always a task for the GPU.

I don't think there's a reason to involve Sundtek (not yet) - first let's try to figure out why it's working in @Raybuntu's builds and not in mine. This probably gets to having a proper set of patches. I will prepare another test build for you today evening.

I understand that if you look at TVHeadend log (via web browser) there is a DTV_CLEAR error for Sundtek tuner? I'm wondering why, I added the only missing patch that used to be in my builds and made the compat section aligned to Raybuntu's build where Sundtek reportedly works...
