Update #1. Faster OSD rendering -> no frame skips by subtitle rendering.
Merry Christmas!
Can you please point me to the patch with the fix? I'm wondering if it can be backported to Krypton.
ArtUrlWWW Look at the beginning of dmesg - some part of RAM is reserved for framebuffer, video decoders etc. That's why it's not available for userspace.
Changelog will be posted soon.
kszaq is there any difference between gxm_q200_2g_minix_neo_u9.dtb and the one posted by wrxtasy here ? Should I just keep using the wrxtasy one ?
"Mine" is compiled from source and should be the same as from Wrxtasy but mine will automatically update if there's a need in the future. One thing to note: I don't know if mine works because nobody cared to test it after a request.
Thanks kszaq! Very quick response!!
I have same issue (video sync reported in 8.2.2.1) on your 905X update. I presume you will recompile that build/update too?
Thanks
S905 build doesn't need to be recompiled.
Did this cause the absence of 24 Hz too?
It was never absent.
I will be pushing 8.2.2.1a shortly to fix smoothness in 8.2.2.1.
The bug was caused by a non-clean build over my post-8.2.1.2 experiments. In other words: one of the system component did not compile correctly.
Billzilla LE image consists of 2 partitions, one of them 512MB and second is the rest of the drive. Windows can see only the first partition. You can use Rufus to format USB drives and SD cards back to full capacity.
When I booted my Libreelec box this morning it was updated to 8.2.2.1. Unfortunately auto framerate is working only partiately. It only switches between 50 and 60 Hz but won't do 23.976 or 24 Hz. This worked beautifully on 8.2.1.2 where my bluray rips would play at 24Hz and my DVD rips played at 50 or 60Hz. Is there a setting in 8.2.2.1 that I am overseeing?
Not related to update. Boot your box when your TV and AVR are on, perhaps EDID was not available when box booted.
Changelog will be posted soon, I'm busy with Christmas preparations.
The GPU already runs at the highest speed, you cannot clock it higher.
ArtUrlWWW Please ask Armbian-related questions at their forum, I am not familiar with their build system and to answer any questions one need to know which kernel is used, the exact customizations etc.
Ken82 I moved your post to correct thread. There is no 8.2.1.2 build for S805, 8.2.2.1 is being compiled. For the latest build read OP.
ArtUrlWWW Your device uses so-called multi-dtb which means that /dev/dtb consists of a few (usually 2-3) device trees for devices with different RAM amount. A correct device tree is chosen automatically by u-boot.
I don't understand the reason why you posted blobs from your device. Isn't any of device tree provided working with your device?
fw_setenv hdmimode 1080p60hz
fw_setenv outputmode 1080p60hz
and reboot.
You are lucky that my crystall ball worked for a moment, next time please include details like device, what you're running on it and post in Amlogic subforum as you're using community builds.
If it crashes also on 8.2.1.1 it can't be fixed.
Remeber to use a correct device tree and use the method that got you to stuck Mecool logo.
