Thanks for that.may i know when would that be?No ETA. The only thing I can say for sure is: this month.
Also remote doesnt work but when i put my remote.conf works.possible for u to put this new remote file in build? There is no remote.conf in my builds for any box. It is copied from Android firmware from internal memory. If you don't have Android with proper remote.conf before installing LE, your remote won't work and you need to copy it manually. Once you copy it to Configuration folder, it will persist during updates. This is covered in release notes.

As already said, the driver will be included in the next build.

infoalter: I don't need device tree for MiniMX as I have the box (and device tree for it) and it's also been already posted.

Beelink MiniMX 1GB/8GB first S905 version
Source openelec 6.95.3 update file. Please don't post device trees from OpenELEC, I need them from Android firmware to make sure it's 100% as factory provided.

Did u happen to look at logs i posted in regards to wifi not showing in my box mxq pro 4k using ur libreelec build?Yes I have. I would rather you posted logs according to my request (LibreELEC) but well... What is full symbol of your WiFi chip? It's 8189 and 2 or 3 letters. If the letter symbol starts with "F" I have omitted drivers for this chip by mistake and it should work in next build.
when powers on shows debug message lines quickly.Don't worry about this.

maybe you can also use/see several DTB files for several S905 boxes at:Thank you for reminding me about this! The source code for these files is here, that makes my work much easier: Amlogic_s905/dtb_file at master · 150balbes/Amlogic_s905 · GitHub
Is there any way to get this if you do not have an update file?Yes but only if you have original Android firmware on internal storage, otherwise dtb might be incorrect. You can execute dd if=/dev/dtb | gzip > /storage/downloads/dtb.img.gz and you'll find compressed device tree in Downloads share.

@All: Please read and post: LibreELEC

UPDATE: From 7.0.2.007 build you should try using generic device trees linked in release post.
I also welcome Pull Requests to device trees GitHub repository: GitHub - kszaq/s905-device-trees: Patch against https://github.com/kszaq/linux/tree/amlogic-3.14.y-openwetek/arch/arm64/boot/dts/amlogic
[hr]
Following recent Amlogic kernel update, "old" device trees won't work with the latest kernel. It means that your device won't boot with updated kernel. Since there are minor differences in device trees between devices, it's not possible to support all devices with single device tree. That's why I need to ask you to post device tree for your box.
How can you get it? It's very simple: grab the latest Android update ZIP for your box and extract dtb.img from it. Zip it and attach to your post, and remember to say what box you use.
I need device trees only for S905 boxes.
I don't need device trees for the following boxes:
- WeTek Hub
- Beelink MiniMX 1GB
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

Can wifi drivers rtl8189 be added in the build os s905.
I flashed it in mxq pro s905.get openelec but no wifi as mine has rtl 8189 wifi.
ThanksSent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk
Drivers for 8189 are included from the first build. You wrote about OpenELEC and this is LibreELEC - are you sure you flashed my build? [emoji6]If you have the latest build installed and WiFi doesn't work, please create a bug thread and remember to include logs.

The first link is not DVB driver.
The second link is a script which reqiures access to Amlogic Git server which I don't have.
I asked Alex and he said he can't share the driver but he will share the module when the driver can be built as module (it has to be built-in to kernel at the momet). Now we wait.

new to this...must of messed up uboot as only way to get to recovery is nand pins..now flashed to nand but power off..reboot issues continue..
only way is to pull lead..how do i provide logs.First of all reboot and poweroff issues are known and do not report them.
Second, please read sticky threads on this subforum. There is all information you need.
-
as the box isnt booting from internal memory and i havent the toothpick option on this box..please could you suggest an option to try.
Would it be a case of shorting nand pins and flashing that way?..or is there a another option..You don't need to short NAND pins to flash LE, this is a way to unbrick the box with USB Burning Tool in case you bricked the box with wrong u-boot.
My advice is: you LE from SD card for now and wait for next(-ish) build which should solve that kind of issues.
as a seperate issue ...when running Le from sd card ..after a period of none use ..the box sleeps.. and then the only way is to pull pwer plug and reboot from sd.is this normal? No logs = no idea.

My box is MiniMX and the power problem was solved early. If you don't use WiFi on MiniMX, the issue will not show. I think this is true for all boxes.
On the other hand, if Nexboxes don't power back on with remote, that would be an issue with their crappy u-boot - the same problem we saw with S805.

Read a list of known bugs for the latest release. Is it a known bug? If so, there is no need to report it.Please report that kind of issues when release notes say it is resolved. Thanks.
-
Including full LIRC at current state might break remote controls that come with boxes. Odroid doesn't have a remote control using amremote driver so it's easier.
I will look into including it after more important issues are resolved.

1. Read a list of known bugs for the latest release. Is it a known bug? If so, there is no need to report it.There are many changes in CEC implementation in latest Amlogic kernel, maybe it will work better for you when the next build is released.
For the future, you have to tell us what is your device (box), what is your TV and post logs.
