Thank you everyone for posting your device trees. I now welcome PRs to my GitHub repository: GitHub - kszaq/s905-device-trees: Patch against https://github.com/kszaq/linux/tree/amlogic-3.14.y-openwetek/arch/arm64/boot/dts/amlogic

I am in the process of porting device trees and it seems like Minix U1 needs an additional kernel sound driver that is not included in kernel from Amlogic. Where are Minix's GPL sources for U1?

anyone help, i cant boot version 006 from sd card, 005 works fine, any help would be appreciated, thanks006 has not been posted yet, update process is different due to device tree changes. You should wait for a release post.

just to let you know the usb ports dont work here on mine after flash and if i set resolution in kodi to 4k its just a small boxFor USB try renaming dts.img on SD card to something else - you can also delete it but having a backup is a good choice.
For 4K this is an issue with this build, I will explain it further in build thread.

Beer donation link is at the bottom of builds sticky post.
Hold your horses please, the build is ready but I need to prepare device trees and updating instructions as it is different from earlier releases.

Should the airplay stuff work. When ever I try to broadcast from any device is see's Kodi but doesnt ever kick in and start working? Can't say as I don't own any iDevice.
Has development on these builds stopped?
Just wondered as the other builds thread is closed and hasn't been updated for a while?
Peace. No, new build has been uploaded today with minor fixes. I need yet to post a changelog.
Builds thread is closed to make it visible and clean, as all sticky threads in this forum seciton are.
S805 builds are mature and only minor fixes apply to them, they do not need to be updated that frequently. They will be updated to Kodi 17 as soon as it enters beta stage.
I will tell you when development stops eventually at some point in the future.

Another thing i found browsing a debug log:01:00:12 T:548217266176 NOTICE: FFmpeg version: 2.8.6
01:00:12 T:548217266176 NOTICE: WARNING: unsupported ffmpeg version detectedCan i change that one myself or has it to be included in next LE build?
This post from OE forum will answer your concern: OpenELEC Mediacenter - OpenELEC Forum - Unsupported ffmpeg version detected? (1/1)

piotrasd Yes and I am using the latest sources. Kernel 4.4 is not yet available.

willyfan Thank you for the logs. And sorry to say that your WiFi chip is not supported even in the latest drivers released 2 days ago by Amlogic. I will try to add it manually but not for the next build - a test build soon after I upload the next version?
-
How I can test what wifi chip there is inside? And what kind of log you need? Please give me a result of the following commands:
-
I have the same problem with same device. We need wait for a new build.Without logs I can't promise the driver will be there as I don't know what's the WiFi chip inside device. As I'm finishing work on a next release your WiFi will probably still not work.
I have been waiting for ur s905 build for mxq pro with wifi driver 8189 ftv which u said will be done .pls advise..thanksI plan to release the build this week.

new kernel source is the same as openwetek one without commits after Jul 1.I meant the drivers. I included WiFi and NAND driver updates.
-
i changed the version of kodi and added pptp support. ive done these changes before for a different box (and different code) and they worked.
i built from master branch. Then I would say it is you local changes that break the build. Remember that you need to have target-side libraries for packages to compile properly. Without your source I can't give any more hints.
-
Which branch do you build from? Any changes to package config you made?
-
What is your host OS?

melcug: Try running this command over SSH and let me know if it makes response times any better: iwconfig wlan0 power off. It turns off power management for wireless card. -
The mainline 4.7 kernel isn't support enough for amlogic?
http://www.cnx-software.com/2016/07/25/l...itectures/There is no HDMI nor VPU (for hardware video decoding) driver in mailline kernel to name a few. You can only run console apps over serial or ethernet.

The latest one from Amlogic.
Kernel version is still 3.14.29.
