Any chance of getting "Docker" integrated in this build?

Not sure if I like the new Krypton skin/GUI but if there are playback improvements then I'll certainly update. Does anybody know if the Confluence skin will still be available for Krypton? I like it's simplicity.
There were some playback issues after video refactoring in Krypton but thanks to Codesnake's efforts it's improving. At this point I can't say whether it's better or worse than Jarvis as haven't used Krypton much. And yes, Confluence is available as an add-on for Krypton.
They're both great as home servers. I often think about buying a third one (MXQ) and sitting it on a shelf somewhere with a couple of drives plugged in and forgetting about it!
For a home server maybe you should consider buying an Odroid? They are only a bit more expensive than Chinese boxes yet much more flexible OS-wise and with great manufacturer and community support.
Once I get my finances sorted, probably next year, I'll grab an S905 and join the party.
If you want my opinion... if you don't use 4K, there is no reason to buy S905. Actually I consider S805 builds to be more stable and mature than S905 - also due to more mature yet older kernel - and this is why I don't replace my parents' and home S805 box with S905. There will be at least one small LE 7.0 update for S805 and when I start working on Krypton, S805 and S905 will be developed in parallel.
Hello, I was wondering is there a Libreelec version with the KODI Krypton 17 beta build for the Minex neoU1? And if so what are the differences from this version?
Not yet.
minimoe Which version of OE were you using before? Can you post a log from both OE (if you still have a backup) and LE? In my LE builds I switched media drivers are built from media_build sources and maybe there's something missing.
Can anyone help me flash my tar file? I only have android recovery on my m8s+.Can i flash it over there ? thanks
1. You can't flash .tar file in Android recovery, it's an update for existing OE/LE install.
2. There is no .tar file for this release (nor any for S905 from me), you asked the question in a wrong thread.
They are already in, but in kernel is something missing. During testing DVB-T USB Stick there were initialization errors. Same stick is running in kszaq build.
You won't be able to run modules from media_build as you need an updated dvb_core module which can't be replaced in Alex' kernel since it's built-in. You can only build additional modules from 3.14 kernel instead of media_build by changing kernel config.
Development build changes have not been uploaded.
For S905X it is best to use the latest development build as it sorts out booting issues.
balbes150 I used your suggestion about using LABEL only and added a script to make labels on update if they're not present.
I have not published devel build sources as it is a work in progress and I don't have proper commits for every change. I am now away for a few days and will be able to upload sources next week if you need them. I also think I will make 7.0.2.008 build next week.
If you see recovery screen when trying to boot from SD card it means that the card/autoscript has been not detected at u-boot stage. Have you tried upgrading your existing 7.0.2.007 card?
Kszaq, have you received your s905x box yet? It seems like you ordered it weeks ago. 😕Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
I have not, it was ordered a bit less than a month ago. But this shouldn't be any big issue since the latest dev build works well, including 4K H264.
If you are correct ?
Someone has to fix the link Installation - LibreELEC
You can use img.gz directly in Rufus, without unpacking. I've done this many times.
kodiuser1 You need to describe what exactly happens on your side, simple "it did not work" leaves a lot to be read from a crystal ball.
Which build did you flash? One of 7.0.2.x? If yes, you should be able to boot to recovery simply by pressing reset button (toothpick method) with no SD card in your box. You can then insert SD card and re-flash Android.
willyfan You should be able to "upgrade" to this build. Remember to change a device tree.
Albundy You need to build Android format kernel image by attaching initramfs to it. Hint: LibreELEC.tv/image at libreelec-7.0 · kszaq/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
You should be able to boot into recovery by putting recovery.img from Android firmware on SD card and using toothpick method. Then you can flash original Android firmware.
You should also test any build you want to flash to internal memory by running it from SD card first.
