Is this something caused by the A95X or can this be solved in a new libreelec release?
Turning CEC in Kodi settings won't turn off CEC completely as it is also operated by u-boot, which is independent of OS you have. When I get back home I will check whether CEC can be disabled completely at u-boot level by modifying u-boot variables (which you can do using commands over SSH).

Thanks to @peak3d I discovered what I was doing wrong during my testing. I can now confirm that with his patches almost all videos are very smooth. There is only one exception: very high bitrate videos but this is not a show stopper. I will post some builds in the next few days.

Try creating SD card image without replacing a device tree. Your box's bootloader should pick the S905X tree itself. Then you'll see how much RAM it "chooses".
Hey kszaq any chance there is a command or something that those of us with the s905 boxes like the minimx can disable the tempsensor in the kernel via. This way any of us that want to disabke it can do so till we get a permanent fix. My wife hates the box when it freezes after powering it on Nd am scared i may come home to a smashed box lol
Unfortunately no, it can be disabled in kernel compilation options.
I don't think thermal sensor is the root cause of freezes but I don't know what else can be... For the time being you can downgrade to 7.0.2.009.
MasterPirlo Probably nobody can answer that question because we don't know what's your setup. The easiest way for you to answer that question is to install LE to SD card and try it. If you don't like it, you can take out the card and Android is back with all your settings left intact.
dav25mi Audio should output from HDMI regardless which one you choose in Kodi settings. Please try selecting S/PDIF and double-check that you don't have audio muted. If that doesn't help, post your logs (look at sticky thread on how to collect them).
but we tested the disable_temp_sensor kernel and it is booting all the time, so what is the problem?
I don't think that I want to remove temperature sensing for always-booting. I would like to have both.

Which exposed the bug. The logo/splash image you're using is set for 1080...It gets cut off and looks all weird until Kodi loads up, which is in the correct resolution (now).
Not a critical or even important bug by any measure.
Enter these commands over SSH and "bug" fixed:
fw_setenv hdmimode 720p60hz
fw_setenv outputmode 720p60hz
Minix and Beelink (MiniMx) are two different company's, it's not the same device. Or does this build work on both devices?
I asked Minix for the patch because they supposedly fixed the issue in their U1 firmware.

Here is 4 boot uart log from my MiniMX 1/8GB.
1 good boot, and 3 bad boot, when isnt booted my box, just boot bear screen.
Maybe someone can read something from log.

Thank you for the logs. After looking at them I can see no differences which would mean that any error that happens is not being logged. I hope Minix can share their fix - I requested this over a week ago at their forum but so far no reply. I will also start publishing new development builds in a few days so maybe we can figure out something together. Sadly I cannot reproduce the issue on any of my devices...
By next Christmas for sure. 
Gendo I have been testing this PR in almost every revision and while I admit that Peak3d has done a great job and many of my samples play smoothly, there are still some issues with this PR, e.g. some TV recordings not playing at all. Peak3d is in touch with both Amlogic and LE developers and I hope at some point these issues can be resolved. When this happens, I will upload a build with the patch included.
afl1 I think this is the reason. The kernel has to be compiled by aarch64 toolchain which (for easiness) is downloaded pre-built from Linaro - and it's built for x86_64.
afl1 Is your Linux VM x86_64?
If HD18Q build was working then you definitely have real 1GB of memory but you need to flash Android firmware with a proper bootloader. After that HD18Q build should work again.
