I dont remember 100% but I am pretty sure it was working with stock android 6.0. In few days I will receive another nexbox so will test power on functionality.I am pretty sure that there is no true suspend in Android, only turning of the screen... what has been said many times.
-
Is there some way to get power on using remote to work with nexbox a95x (s905x cpu). Do I have to extract u-boot from android firmware or what do I do?Power-on IR key code is compiled into u-boot. You have to ask Nexbox to fix their u-boot to include a proper IR code to wake up the box.

Before questions arrive... Build with Kodi 17 is in ready, I will be testing it today evening and publish if everything is OK.

I double checked 7.90.beta3 and the latest tvheadend42 + oscam from kszaq's repository have no problem to descramble encrypted channels.
There was tvheadend issue after moving v4l2 support to media_build but it is already fixed by kszaq. The funny thing is that I have no idea how I fixed this but I'm glad it's working for you now. [emoji2]

I really want to kiss you! After my S905x Box was basically an overpowered sluggish Android your build transformed it into a rocket. However, before I donate to you your coffee which is definitly due, is it possible to add MPEG-DASH or inputstream? Neither your KODI 16.1 nor the 17.0 build contain it which limits the box to 720p in some apps and my Magine-Account will not work because the app is constantly crying for this lib.
You probably need to install inputstream.adaptive addon from LE repo. This will only work in Kodi 17.

Hi,
I did that put dtb file and update tar and reboot ,now i get error as attached picture no libreelec is showing?cant access recovery to using tooth pick.what do i do now,i have 2 box same thing happened.
I just get s905x splash screen, even using usb burning tool, flash stops after 5 percent.pls help.i had libreelec installed into internal in these box and was working except audio.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You have probably chosen a wrong device tree. That's why I recommend to try running from SD card first and check if everything works... You should probably be still able to run LE from SD card. Run in and perform installtointernal after verifying that everything works.
-
How can I do that? Where I find the device treeThe easiest way: from Android firmware. Get ZIP file with Android firmware, unpack in on your computer and there should be dtb.img file. That's what I need.

Well, the last info I got from kszaq is that he does not have any frame skips and the patch for 23.976fps is already implemented since a while...I will try to contact the developer behind the latest improvements to Amlogic hardware decoding, I have some ideas why this might not work.
-
Hi. I try to install libreelec s905 on a device with 3g ram but I can not find device_tree file for it. Any dtb to be able to install libreelec on this device? You need to provide me with device tree from Android firmware for you device.
@all: Builds server is down for maintenance, it will be back in a few hours...

BUTIt is now back to missing the first few seconds (around 3 i think) of any video called from either nfs or smb shares, this was not there in d or f I missed e
I remember there were fixes, but I thought these had been 'installed' into the builds rather than were executed later by a changed setting in sound?
This is because of the vq patch I am using. The patch fixes dropping vq over time and stuttering effect that comes after this happens. It also makes seeking and channel switching much quicker. The only downside it what you observed, i.e. a (little) few seconds missing at the beginning of some videos. This can't be improved without significantly modifying Amlogic HW decoding implementation in Kody Jarvis and I've already spent too much time trying to improve this patch. I have decided to leave the patch in current state for all future Jarvis builds because it's the best solution we can have. It's much more different in Krypton and that's where development focus is at.
You are seeing "alphabet" editions of 7.0.3.012 because this is the last Jarvis version from me and I'm only going to add improvement to hardware handling should they come over time.
Just curious, what if my device doesn't have toothpick option available? Is there ssh command to revert back to SD card booting?Insert SD card/USB drive with LE and reboot update over SSH.
I never had the issue on my s812's running Kerber's build. Once I moved to s905 boxes on Libelec, I started to have the issue. I went back to Openelec on one s905 box and the problem disappeared.Don't get me wrong, I think your Libelec builds run better overall on a freshly booted box, it's only after a couple days that it has issues.
OE from Kerber (Alex) uses older Amlogic kernel that was also present in my builds up to 7.0.2.005. The latest Amlogic kernel has some bugs in memory handling and this is being worked on by LE developers, I think we will see some improvements over time.

Any idea how hot the CPU runs usually? With just the crappy heatsink on it, if it runs hot then I'll add a 5V fan on it. I installed the version with temp sensor disabled just incase so don't know how how these things actually run.
It's different depending on the box. Install a version with temp sensor enabled, get the box to boot and observe your temperatures.
EDIT: Any ETA on 7.95.1 build?
My build versioning is different, beta4 is updated with almost all upstream commits that will become 7.95.2. -
kszaq, can you compile one test version for wetek play2 with internal dvb tuner support ?
PozdroI recommend using Raybuntu's build (thread-4248.html), I don't think I have anything in my build that his do not have - except media_build drivers. But if I wanted to include drivers for WP2's internal tuner I would have to disable media_build drivers anyway.
-
Hi kszaqif boot from USB is disabled (running "fw_setenv upgrade_step 1"), is it still possible to boot from USB with a toothpick ?
Yes, this command resets u-boot env variables to default values. If you wish to be able to boot from SD card or USB again, you have to use toothpick first (only once).

scropion86 There is no need to post the same things twice.
1 - i have an external WD 1 TB drive connected and working fine , but recently i connected it to my PC to add some episodes and later connected back and update
the library but it's not showing under TV show as the rest of the old files in same directory.
i have restarted even renamed the folders and scan again with now success.
This in not related to my build.
2 - i followed the steps for update from Beta3 with temp sensor disabled to beta4a
i have copied the beta4a.gz file with the proper device tree to Update folder using SMB network
and restarted and no update happened.
If no message appeared at LE splash screen, you must have put update file in a wrong folder.
