question, i noticed one thing. when i go to screen saver and try to download any different option, like the instagram one or the unsplash photo one, downloading via wifi took me about 10 minutes on my others it took seconds. does this mean i have the wrong network file installed? i used this one as i have 3GB gxm_q201_3g.dtb?
Thanks
ok, worked perfect... just like my MECOOL M8S PRO L boxes except this had a reset button. install done!
Thank you
Question, a friend just gave me his Android OTT TV Box Model: CSA93. Ram: 3GB, ROM: 32GB. "CSA93 Android 6.0 TV Box Amlogic S912 4K"
i want to install LibreElec on it but not sure if it can be done. i didn't see any video's online for it, can someone please confirm. was going to use 1 of these images on a USB Flash:
but not sure of the proper device tree, think this one:
gxm_q201_3g.dtb
Thanks
Ok, I received my MECOOL M8S PRO L and installed LibreELEC on the nand. watched a few shows and ran fine, only question i have is it seemed to run hot and from i have seen online this is a known issue. will this cause any play back issue, think i saw it up to 160 Fahrenheit? what is the highest safest temp this can run at?
Thank you!
Any chance someone can clarify that the box I would get is on to run standalone LE. I thought I read somewhere that someone said they don’t advise flash the nand and running from that?
Thanks
if i was looking for a box to run strictly LE and handle most media types without issues a model and link would be GREAT!
Thanks
Rootz, thanks for the reply. is it a bad thing to flash the nand with LibreELEC as i did on my friends box yesterday. i was amazed how much smoother it ran on his box verses my ASUS Chromebox. i have no need for the Android side and would love for it to boot right into LibreELEC but i thought i read that people said not to flash or write to the nand?
Thanks
Hello, i am looking to purchase an Android box to run standalone LibreELEC. what is a good box using the s905X chip and one using the s912 chip, is one better than the other, currently i don't have a 4K tv but might in the near future. i have messed around with a box called TV Box 4k UCD 3840x2160. there wasn't a brand on the box that is all it said on the box. if the box could also have 5G wifi that would be good. i removed the Android OS off of this box and did a standalone LibreELEC and it ran real solid. advise from the pros would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
i have removed the onboard wifi card and am using this RTL8812AU 802.11AC 2.4/5GHz USB3.0 Wireless WiFi Dongle 867M "Wifi adapter link" for the most part seems to be running fine. but every now and then i will notice that it just disconnects on its own, or says i am connected has an ip address attached but not working. is there something i can do about this? i thought on the Edimax EW-7811Un i used to to on my raspberry pi had something similar where it would disconnect so you had to add a command to keep it connected. is there a command i can do for this?
Thank you
great so this should be fine:

is there any Wifi dongles you could advise that i can get the full benefits of my new speed? crazy they don't have a driver as they claim it does have a Linux driver and support. on the disk they provide it has a Linux folder, i emailed them to let them know it doesn't work.
Thank you

hello, i recently upgraded my internet to RCN 330 download from 150. the card in my chromebox doesn't get me the speed i am paying for. i disabled the wifi card and removed it from the box and bought this one off amazon ref=sr_1_12?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1509055637&sr=1-12&keywords=1200mbps wifi i put one in the usb port on my chromebox and it doesn't detect it. i am using one on my laptop and instead of only getting 45 download i am now getting 270. it says it works with all OS, i know LibreELEC is something special. any chance i can get this working?
Thanks

When my ASUS chromebox boots up on my 60" tv, the screen that gives you the boot menu by clicking esc is off the screen and big font. how do i make that text the correct size to fit the screen? running LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.0.0 build.
Thanks
