Glad it's not just me. Superficially they look like a great solution (IR receiver, integrated fan, nice arrangement with all IO on the back etc.)
However I lost countless hours to HDMI connectivity issues - all ended up being caused by poor quality HDMI extenders in the cases...
I have 1 of 4 working with LE and 1 that i use for a headless Motioninstall, 2 will probably go in the bin.
Have done some tests with reboot and update (from pressing Reboot to updated and fully booted):
Pi5 SDcard = 1 min 35 sec
Pi5 M2 = 50 sec
and
ASRock J5040, 16GB RAM, SSD = 30 sec.
Edit:
Pi4 USB3 SSD = 1 min 5 sec
Pi4 USB2 SSD = 1 min 20 sec
Mine is just fine on latest LE12 nightly.
Nice feature, too bad it doesnt show connected external hdd.

Is exFAT more reliable or is ext4 the only way to get a stable mediasystem again ?
exFAT is not more reliable, i moved almost all of HDD to exFAT and its not better at all.
Probably going back to NTFS, it will take a week or two, its several hundred TB.

No.
Maybe you could flip the fan 180 degrees if you remove those 3 screws.
I used rpi-eeprom-update -a on my Pi 5 recently, that went fine.

Drop the img.gz into the Update-folder and reboot.

No, on Win 10 & 11, Mint & Ubuntu, Shield Pro and a few phones.
I have 5 devices with FreeTube, 1 with SmartTube and 3 or 4 with ReVanced so i have as much adfree Youtube i need.
I use the Pi 5 in my home cinema, so I want it to look good (or be inconspicuous) and be very quiet.
I do to, mine is tucked away inside a cabinett, dont see it at all.
My Pi 5 is in a homemade chassi with a 12V fan on 3,3V, cant hear it at a distance of 10", never goes over +40C.
