Sad, but true.

This is great.
Would anyone be so kind to share inputstream and Kodi settings, with which 1080p streaming works without any stuttering?
Yeah,
Kodi crashes each time, when tried to invoke inputstream from amazon/netflix,
that's why I've reverted back to LibreELEC-S905.arm-9.0-devel-20171020154750-r27181-g427aded12.tar...
updated to this form sx05re on my s905 box, boots and works just fine but i cant find netflix plugin, tried kodi repo, tried all repos
Intall this repo - repository.netflix-1.0.1 - and then look for the plugin in it.
I've compared the installations (internal) on S905 and S905X boxes.
On S905 (2/16GB) box,
inputstream adaptive was(is) explicitly present present in addons folder.
On S905X (2/8GB) box,
there was no such folder for inputstream*, however settings were there in addon_data.
So, when upgrading with this build - amazon/netflix addons could not use the inputstream, could not activate it, unknown sources was disabled from start, did not allow to install it from zip either. Downgrading to a Gendo's built makes it working again.
Maybe Gendo's builds have this "embedded" somewhere else, because it works without any additional amendments.
Anyway,
just copied the respective addon folder from S905 to S905X box and it's working.
Great work!
P.S.1 It seems that strict checking of ECDSA host keys is enabled by default in your build... ?
P.S.2 What about an S912 build?
For me - only 720p works flawlessly on S905/S905X boxes.
On S912 - even 720p stutters...
I don't think it's a matter of bandwidth/throughput,
because on the same points (Gigabit), Full HD/DD5.1 amazon & netflix on Windows64 and Ubuntu Kodi are playing fine.
Maybe some "ponies" are dead in my "karate" boxes and the processing power is not sufficient to simultaneously stream/decrypt/visualize 1080p content?
No problem with local Full HD and 4K content, presented via SMB 3, though...
Interesting "bug":
This build shutdowns the boxes properly, not like Gendo's builds...
Any plans for S912 builds?
P.S. Upgraded to this build from Gendo's builds on both boxes...
That's the biggest problem, even with LibreELEC-S905.arm-9.0-Leia-testing-Gendo-18-10-2017.tar
I think it was introduced with the October 3rd build for the first time.
adamg's build is not exhibiting such issue, but on S905X "inputstream adaptive" somehow disappeared and cannot be installed...
Thanks for sharing!
What's the difference in comparison to these: s905 and s912 Leia builds ?
I have amazon and netflix on my box with this leia build. Everything is fine!!
Full HD? 4K?
Just upgrade the box with the provided above "tar" archive.
Then share with us your impressions of Netflix + Widevine "hack".
So, you mean it's a sort of a suspend/soft restart?
I admit that I have not looked through the logcats, but the POST process looks exactly the same when I power cycle the box, and initiate shutdown from OS/power on from the remote.
And it's isolated to this H96 Pro+ S912 box, S905/S905X boxes do not exhibit such behavior (LE is internal).
LE really shuts down your box completely. Your default OS does not. That's why waking it up with the remote works in one and not it the other.
But... "Powerkey definition = shutdown" in Android, so it REALLY does shutdown and pass through the whole booting process everytime.
And the remote works! In Android.
In LE - nope!
Well,
it seems that Android ROM/bootloader has it, since it's working there.
How to make it work in LE is the question...
I have tried with Android remote.conf (did not work at all) and one for H96 from Pelican (which works in Kodi, but cannot power on the box),
but, as I've suspected - will have to build it from scratch, apparently...
Would anyone be able to help me with the H96 Pro+ (S912, 3/16) not powering on from its remote, when shut down?
Android (7.1.2) is working fine, so there must be some esoteric setting for LE... Ideas where to look further?
Thanks in advance!
Well,
two boxes (S905 and S905X) go straight to black screen, instead of Kodi.
One S912 shows partial GUI without any fonts...
Could be a skin problem (Aeon NOX and the SiLVO mod)... ?
The fix is to "update" again to LibreELEC-S905.arm-9.0-Leia-testing-Gendo-03-10-2017.tar...
