I have seen a wiki/howto that I have to edit a text file with the registryID on the machine to activate the codec.
Isn't there a KODI/LibreELEC menu entry for that?

It is a QNAP NAS but not with the QNAP operatiing system! There is my own Debian stable on the machine.
The question is how does Libre/Kodi tries to wake up the machine? And how does it try to find out the mac address?

There is no "apt" on the ssh-shell. How do I update new packages?
I need "xrandr" for a script.

In the energy settings of Kodi 17 is the option that known servers could be waked up. When I activate it I get the error message, that the MAC address from the (correct named!) server could not be found out. (sorry it was translation from the german gui).
I tested it directly. I recieved the MAC with ifconfig -a on the machine itself. From another machine I send a "wakeonlan MAC" and it worked.
"etherwake MAC" didn't work! I can not see the diff between this two tools.
Not sure how Kodi tries do find out the MAC of the server.

Why should I use them? Why do I need them?
Which kind of videos or DVD images are related to this?

Ah, I see. Now it is here.
The problem is the remote controll itself. It is a universal remote "one-4-all". The current setup off this remote doesn't offer all buttons. Not all buttons are with a signal on them. So I don't have enough active buttons on the remote to teach to FLIRCs Kodi-key-map.

I read somewhere that I need to buy a codec licence when using kodi with Pi2?

I was looking in the wiki but wasn't able to find it.
How can I setup LibreElec to work with a remote (one for all) connected via flirc-usb on a Pi2?
