Did You replace the old DTB file ?
I'm using the one that came with LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-184.108.40.206.img assuming it has not been overwritten by the update.
I would not know what to replace it with.
you need to read, the way remotes work is different, on the 8.2 versions you created a remote.conf
It all changed with 8.9, it is not a remote.conf now
I'm sorry but this has been pointed out several times
Read the [email protected]#$%
I did read FAQ and I understand that the old remote.conf will not work.
I tried many of the new config files, but none of them worked...
So I was trying to get the the codes using ir-keytable command, but it fails saying that the input device is not there.
So I guess the problem is not about finding a proper config file.
Because how can my remote possibly work if the input device isn't there?
your DTB has not updated, the only way this would happen is if you are using a really old one or copied an old one into the update folder
I had kszaq's build LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-220.127.116.11.img - on this one my IR remote was working fine.
Then I uploaded CoreELEC-S905.arm-8.90.1.tar into the update folder.
After the update I had to rename the partitions to boot it...
And that's basically it - now it just says "No devices found".
Is there some log file that I can check?
kikul, read the fist page, there is an answer on the same question
I'm, not quite sure what I should do...
Tried different config files and none od them seems to work.
When I follow the instructions from the fist post, the read the codes from my remote:
The only problem I have with this new version is that my IR remote does not work anymore.
In /storage/.config I have the same remote.conf file that worked on kszaq's build.
If you have WIN PC, connect card and rename FAT partitotion label to COREELEC
Had to also change the name of the other partition to STORAGE, but then it booted and works just fine.
Thanks a lot - you guys are awesome!
replace the dtb.img with your devices's dtb.img
I tried that, but none of the dtb files worked
Also does not work when I copy the one from kszaq's build.
It's just booting form internal flash, instead of the memory card.
What if you do this workaround:
1. install a fresh img from kszaq
2. take the .tar (update) file from 8.90.1
3. put it in the .update folder
4. reboot and update
For me this workaround on my 912 and 905 works fine.
Had before also problems with a fresh install only with the 890.1 image.
It takes the update, but then does not boot anymore
Error message like this:
Guys, I have MXQ 4k box with S905 and 1GB of RAM
It runs without problems all the build from kszaq (for instance this one), but does not boot with any of the images from here:
I mean I tried most of them, but I'd hope the one named "CoreELEC-S905.arm-8.90.1.img.gz" should work... But it doesn't
Is there any way to fix it?
Or can I maybe use the working image from kszaq and then copy some of the files from the CoreELEC image, to have the newer kodi?
Guys, would you know how to prevent the box from resetting the HDMI connection when I start or stop playing a video?
I don't know why it does it, whether it changes a resolution or something...
It is kind of a problem for me, because the projector I use resets the volume settings when HDMI gets disconnected, even for a moment.
Have a look in here, should be one that matches what you are looking for, look for MXQ Pro 4K as remotes may look identical yet be different.
If you don't find a ready made one in above, enjoy making your own, or if you wish to modify the one you find, see here:-
Thank you very much.
This one worked just fine: remote.conf repository
Is it possible to make the remote controller that came with my box (see attached pic) to work in this build?
I'm not sure how to check the chip, but when I launch the recovery mode it says "p212/p212".
I've tried some Ubuntu from:
... and it also did not have wifi working.
Guys, sorry if this is obvious, but I've been trying to find the info here and failed.
I have the box MXQ Pro 4K s905.
Is the built-in WiFi supposed to be working on it?
