Well I've also tested LE 8.2.4.1 on the S912 MINIX U9 with r7p0 AND Dirty Regions disabled and honestly I see NO so called "regressions" when CTRL-SHIFT-O is called into duty.

I'm not seeing continual skipped frames or any visual upsets when playing a mixture high bitrate 23.976fps & 59.94 fps video.

Are you sure this is not just a AMLogic CE Kodi Leia problem, it is Alpha software after all ?

I will point out again this is r7p0 - S912 testing with Dirty regions disabled.

I would like to also point out you cannot use Chroma 444,10bit at 4K 50 or 60Hz. It's outside of HDMI 2.0 specs.

I will put that bypass_hd option in Kodi settings in the next LE 8.2.4.x release.

This might be the safer option for deinterlaced 1920x1080 content, like ABC HD:

AMLogic deinterlacing normally does a bit of picture Post Processing Edge Enhancement

Hmm strange indeed. My U9 is working perfectly fine.

With the number of Kodi GUI settings changes added, when upgrading something might be messed up.

I would suggest testing by SSH logging in and settings the Kodi GUI options to default values:

mv .kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml .kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml.backup
reboot

I've forced 444,10bit Chroma and bit depth again, bypassing the currently unreliable auto detection.

You can still use the current AMLogic Kodi GUI 444,10bit setting.

Leave it enabled.

Before I even answer the S905 in the C2 does not support HDR and never will.

Having said that it will be the fastest AML LE device going around when Overclocked and used with eMMC flash storage and a Wireless remote.

1. 8GB eMMC is enough unless you have a pretty large media library. 16GB eMMC's have quicker write speeds vs 8GB.

2. Does not matter you will be overwriting it anyway.

3. You need the eMMC Module Reader which you then attach the eMMC card to and that then gets slotted into a microSDHC > SD card adapter. You will not be able to flash LE to eMMC flash storage without the Module Reader

4. So it goes eMMC > eMMC Module Reader > microSDHC > SD card adapter. They piggy back on to each other so you can flash LE to eMMC using a PC.

5. Black C2 cases look the best.

6. I simply use a USB-DC Plug cable to power the C2 from a USB port on my TV. It's enough stable power for a mini USB BT dongle as well.

Works well because the C2 powers OFF / ON with the TV.

LE C2 with eMMC flash boots in under 10 seconds.

Not saying it is - BUT this is about testing and trying to Zero in on what the actual problem is.

The other test should be using a standard kszaq 8.2.2.x S912 release to further zero in on what the problem is.

Maybe, but a LibreELEC .tar backup should always be stored away somewhere externally before attempting anything.

Well I've tested numerous 80+ Mbps UHD Blurays and have none of the problems described.

I'm also using NFS with an iMac file server over Gigabit Ethernet.

A directly connected hard drive should be attached with the problem files to eliminate any LibreELEC playback issues and zero in on possible networking problems.

The older MINIX A2 Lite remote has no such issues.

Price secondary then don't stuff about - get a MINIX U9 - comes with a Wireless WiFi remote that you can use with any operating system.

I've tested CPU software decoded 11Mbps 1080p Hi10P Anime with the Subtitles Fixed - 8.4.2 (S912) Krypton image I've been playing with.

And it all plays back smoothly.

I would say other S912's show similar performance - IF they do not Overheat when using demanding CPU Software decoding of 1080p Anime. That quickly tortures and heats up AMLogic SoC's.

The MINIX U1 & U9's have class leading heatsinks in them and rarely get above 55 degrees C.
