For a long time I've experienced certain videos have extreme lag on youtube, like video dropping behind audio within seconds then just skips content to catch up, then repeats. Most youtube videos are fine, but certain channels like anything from "daily dose of internet" will always do this. I can't see anything different in the logs. Does anyone else experience this? :@

Forgot to mention, I'm on 9.2.8

Might be answering my own question here, but seems something to do with the MPEG-DASH (what ever that is) setting in the youtube app. When I disable it works, wonder why it only effected certain videos though.

I have a 4GB rpi4, I've put the hdmi_enable_4k=1 into config.txt but it still runs very poorly with 4K material, it stutters and caches a lot.

I'm viewing it from my local NAS over gigbit ethernet. So I suspect its probably because my TV is actually 1080p so I'm expecting too much of the pi to not only decode the 4K but to downsample it to 1080p? Can anyone confirm this is?

    Thanks:(

I've discovered that the ethernet port will not work when connected directly to my HP Procurve J9028B, however it works fine if I plug it into a different router. I've not experienced this issue with any other devices. I only have a small window to debug this as the rpi is to be used for a different purpose this weekend. So if someone can help me debug the issue I'll try and get to the root cause.:?:

Since 8.? I was getting freezes while watching movies where it would pause and then after 5 seconds or so fast forward to catch up, this would happen every hour or so. In 8.0.2 I now get full system freezes very frequently every 20 minutes or so. A freeze will now usually last around 2 minutes, during this time the screen simply freezes, my keyboard becomes unresponsive and the unit even stops responding to pings.

I'm running Generic.X86_64 on an Xstreamer / CPU: Intel Atom CPU D525 / GPU: ION/PCIe/SSE2

    Here are my log dumps.

Let me know how I am able to provide more detail, I'm not a guru but am comfortable with ssh etc.
