This morning it doesn't seem to be doing it however, and the brightness seems okay.

I put a fresh build of 8.0.1 on a Pi3 tonight with Kodi 17.1. After about 30 seconds the display will dim (during use) and will not come back to full brightness. The only way that I have found to get it back to working temporarily is to go and change the screen resolution. Then again after about 30 seconds it will dim again and stay that way. It is making video playback not very good at all, because the videos will be very dark as well causing bad picture quality. Any suggestions or has anybody seen this before?
