Hi Experts
I use LibreELEC 8.0.1 running on RBPI3.
I use [url=https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Good-USB-Wireless-Media-Desktop-PC-Remote-Control-Controller-For-XP-Vista-7/32314236906.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_6_10065_10068_433_434_10136_10137_10138_10060_10062_10141_10056_10140_10055_10054_10059_123_10099_10103_10102_10096_10052_10053_10050_10107_10142_10051_10106_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10110_10111_10112_10113_10114_10078_10079_10073_10070_10122_10123_10124,searchweb201603_1,afswitch_1,ppcSwitch_7,single_sort_0_price_asc&btsid=e7d8e651-a2ce-4a07-a7b7-55e042e9f006&algo_expid=c217e8f4-d27b-48cf-add8-1132313b703b-36&algo_pvid=c217e8f4-d27b-48cf-add8-1132313b703b]this IR remote (which actuality is a IR keyboard & mouse) and in general it works fine.
This remote has a toggle button to switch from mouse mode (arrows move the mouse courser) to keyboard mode (right left up down) and vice versa.
However each time i restart my RBPI3 it is automatically start in mouse mode.
I'm looking for a way to toggle it into keyboard mode on startup.
any ideas ?
I think you can move to LE,
The only issue to inspect is the Read only access from the secondary HTPC
if i recall correctly when you specify a new video sucre you can prevent delete and change via the navigation.
How ever if the users of the secondary HTPC will go into kodi's file manager they can gain write access (i dot think it is likely, but it's your call)
As for the remote, i never used FLIRC so i can't say (i use simple HTPC IR remote / keybord like [url=https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Good-USB-Wireless-Media-Desktop-PC-Remote-Control-Controller-For-XP-Vista-7/32314236906.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_6_10065_10068_433_434_10136_10137_10138_10060_10062_10141_10056_10140_10055_10054_10059_123_10099_10103_10102_10096_10052_10053_10050_10107_10142_10051_10106_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10110_10111_10112_10113_10114_10078_10079_10073_10070_10122_10123_10124,searchweb201603_1,afswitch_1,ppcSwitch_7,single_sort_0_price_asc&btsid=e7d8e651-a2ce-4a07-a7b7-55e042e9f006&algo_expid=c217e8f4-d27b-48cf-add8-1132313b703b-36&algo_pvid=c217e8f4-d27b-48cf-add8-1132313b703b]this)
Good luck
Hi Experts
I have LibreELEC 8 both on HTPC (XtremerUlta) and RBPI3.
I use [url=https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Good-USB-Wireless-Media-Desktop-PC-Remote-Control-Controller-For-XP-Vista-7/32314236906.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_6_10065_10068_433_434_10136_10137_10138_10060_10062_10141_10056_10140_10055_10054_10059_123_10099_10103_10102_10096_10052_10053_10050_10107_10142_10051_10106_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10110_10111_10112_10113_10114_10078_10079_10073_10070_10122_10123_10124,searchweb201603_1,afswitch_1,ppcSwitch_7,single_sort_0_price_asc&btsid=e7d8e651-a2ce-4a07-a7b7-55e042e9f006&algo_expid=c217e8f4-d27b-48cf-add8-1132313b703b-36&algo_pvid=c217e8f4-d27b-48cf-add8-1132313b703b]this IR remote (which actuality is a IR keyboard) and it works great with the HTPC.
When i try it with the RBPI3 the PI react a few times on each press,
So one short press on down arrow can take me 2-4 positions down instead of just one.
Does anyone know if i can configure wait time / trash-hold somewhere to avoid it.
Thanks
Thanks,

Though it is T230C and I'm not sure if I'll need to move back to LE 7 (LibreELEC (unofficial) Kodi builds for additional DVB Drivers) in order to make it work or not.
dose any one tried it already ?
Hello experts
I'm using LibreELEC 8.0.0 on Raspberry PI 3, and i want to buy a DVB-T dongle for live TV.
I found this dongle --> Digital DVB-T2/T DVB-C USB 2.0 TV Tuner Stick HDTV Receiver
but i don't know how to check if it will work on my device or not (before I by it)
Any advice ?
Changing the skin version didn't work
but pulling the skin from githab altering it and installing from ZIP worked perfectly
Thanks a lot
I'm trying to increase the font size of LibreELEC 8 (7.95.3 BETA) Estuary skin.
as it is in a read only folder i copied it to a new folder
and planed to edit the Font.xml of the new copy.
As a first step i edited it's addon.xml so it will have a different id and name. like this (changes highlighted in red)
Quote
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<addon id="skin.estuary.edit version="1.9.9" name="Estuary(Edit)"
provider-name="phil65, Ichabod Fletchman">
Then i restarted my LibreELEC and expected to see "Estuary(Edit)" on my available skin list
however it didn't appear there
anybody ave an idea why?
have you tryed this guid ?
Config harmony - OpenELEC
Dose the Keymap Editor addon recognize your key press?
You can find it in the Kodi add-ons repository > Program add-ons. you can see how it works here - Customize Your Kodi Remote Control Keys Easily With This Superb Addon. - YouTube
If so you can map your keys to the desired actions manually.
Thank you CvH & yort, you are right.
After I removed the host from my Yatse remote and readded it, WOL is working
I reviewed the entire BIOS settings but could not find the power options
In any case if I restore to OpenELEC it works and on LibreELEC it doesn’t (I’m not changing anything on the BIOS)
Thanks DaVu
Here is the output NRLZ
can you please guid me what to look for in the BIOS, and where to check the power settings that you mentioned ?
Thanks Dan
Yes it does, and not only theoretically it actually worked until the upgrade
Hello all
I upgraded my OpenELEC 5.0.3 Nvidia Legacy build to LibreELEC 7.0.1 Generic Build, and it went very well
However since the upgrade the WOL (Wake-On-LAN) is not responding, it used to work fine under OpenELEC 5.0.3 Nvidia Legacy build.
And there was no change in the hardware or my network.
I’ll appreciate any suggestions / investigation directions.
Thanks a lot
Dan
Technical details:
I use Yatse remote app --> details?id=org.leetzone.android.yatsewidgetfree
And my hardware is Xtremer Ultra (1) --> Xtreamer Ultra specs
I use the LAN connection (not Wi-Fi)
Thank you Grimson
i do have an additional copy of the skin under /storage/.kodi/addons
i'll remove it.
thank u
then i intend to copy it, rename it and make my modefications
like this (kodi instade of xbmc but the concept is cleare )
OpenELEC Mediacenter - OpenELEC Forum - How to remove or disable DialogBusy.xml in a skin (1/2)
Thanks Grimson
I know that it is there but it =11.0ptdoesn’t beave normally - when I select it as a skin it give an message stated that it is "incompatible"
So I wanted to remove it and reinstall it (for this i need it in to apeare in the repository).
When I tried to remove it, and it was impossible to get it back, so I restored everything from my backup (it was a wise thing to make that backup)
and I want to make sure that I can reinstall it before I try it again
