jd17 Yes, I bought 2 hdmi 2.0a cable. I havent another device
But I did a try and I plugged 905 into the TV. It works good. The problem may be around avr. I have a denon x2300 amplifier, every hdmi ports are 2.0a. What could be the problem?

johngalt I tired ur new build, but no change. Maybe it was worse. 20 times start 4k video, but 16x no signal, 4x film start. I tired rouge one 4k, and planet earth II 4k films. Afternoon I bought a new HDMI 2.0a cable too, but no change.
But with MM kernel (8.0.2a, 8.0.1l-mm) everything is good.
Thank you for your help, I hope we (or u) find the bug.
I tired ur command, but no change. 10 times ---> 6-7x black screen (lost signal), 3-4x all ok
But I make some test, maybe help. I have denon x2300 reciever, it can show hdmi information (your latest build):
GUI 1080p in settings:
Resolution: 1080p:60Hz -> 1080p:60Hz
Color space: YCbCr 4:4:4 -> YCbCr 4:4:4
Pixel depth: 10 bits -> 10 bits
4k film (10 bit, bt2020), I wrote, sometimes it starts:
Resolution: 4k:24Hz -> 4k:24Hz
Color space: YCbCr 4:4:4 -> YCbCr 4:4:4
Pixel depth: 8 bits -> 8 bits
After I ran ur command:
4k film (10 bit, bt2020):
Resolution: 4k:24Hz -> 4k:24Hz
Color space: YCbCr 4:2:2 -> YCbCr 4:2:2
Pixel depth: ---- -> ----
Update:
I downgrade to 8.0.2a
GUI 1080p in settings:
Resolution: 1080p:60Hz -> 1080p:60Hz
Color space: YCbCr 4:4:4 -> YCbCr 4:4:4
Pixel depth: 8 bits -> 8 bits
4k film (10 bit, bt2020), it starts always:
Resolution: 4k:24Hz -> 4k:24Hz
Color space: YCbCr 4:4:4 -> YCbCr 4:4:4
Pixel depth: 8 bits -> 8 bits
This is maybe help?
johngalt I tired ur build, but no changes Do you have any idea?
I had time today and I tired kszaq dev build (and ur too) 10 times start 4k video: 7x black screen, but 3x start the video normal, there was picture and sound. But later the screen went black and some sec. came back again...
johngalt My links are ok? Is this what did you need?
My guess for the issue was incorrect unfortunately. Could you post the output from running "dmesg" after playing 4k as well as the kodi.log?
I recommend running the following two commands and then posting the two links you get
Boot 1080p gui. I play 4k video 3-4 sec (black screen), then stop. After this I do this links:
1.
2.
AUVf
please post dmesg output on a paste site (like bpaste.net) and also post the result of: cat /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/vic
Do this after the black screen has occurred.
I copy and in putty ssh paste ur command. If gui 1080p, then the "answer" is 16. If play 1080p video then 32. If play 4k video, and no signal (black sbreen), then 93.
I did it well? Is the "answer" so short?
I tired again the new build. If in setting the gui is 1080p, then gui, sd, 720p, 1080p films are ok, 4k go to black screen (lost signal). If I set the gui to 4k, then after boot, screen is black (lost signal). Box is live, ssh, samba is work.
8.0.1l-mm, 8.0.2a is perfect, sd, 720p, 1080p, 4k is good.
Have somebody some idea?
RedCat You're using 4K, right?
Yes
Hi,
I tried this build, but it does not work for me. First LE boot logo, then show build number, then from the amplifier "SSSSSSSS" and the screen go black and there is "no signal..."
The box is live, ssh and samba work, but black screen...
Same here.
x265 get to mush frame skips and slush on MM Kernel.
Back to 8.0.1l Nougat Kernel
MM kernel is perfect for me on my 4k tv. No frame skips or drops...
Both your builds somehow mess up accessing the box via LAN in Windows.
I could always access all previous builds when I just entered the IP in the Win Explorer (\\xxx.xxx.x.xx) - to copy tar files in the update folder.
That's not possible with either Krypton MM build.I got around it by accessing the mSD via my NAS, but I assume others might not have that option...
Turn on the samba sharing in Libreelec menu. Default in this builds is OFF.

I also have a 4k playback problem. I tried this build and works well. There is no flashing. Maybe the nougat kernel is "wrong"?
I tried many versions. The last "good" version is 8.0.1a. The 8.0.1b and higher are "bad" and the screen blinking.
I tired rc2, but 4k films are flashing... This build didnt solve my problem
I tired the new devel build, but nothing changed.
I got a bit closer to the problem:
1. In old builds I used 4k gui. Gui and films (sd, 720p, 1080p, 4k) are good. I use now 8.0.0d, its perfect. But I woud like to use updates...
2. In new builds: (I tested: 7.0.12k, devel, 8.0.1j, i, 8.0.1 devel)
- gui is 4k, then gui and 4k films flashing (lost signal). I dont test more resolution, because I dont see snything.
- gui is 1080p, then gui is ok always. sd, 720p, 1080p films are ok, but 4k is flashing...
