Weird, when I now try the installer again after wiping the whole drive to EXT4 it just boots straight to the Live environment and doesn't start the installer.

Fixed now by following your instructions: Set all stuff in the BIOS to legacy instead of UEFI. Then I could boot the stick and type 'installer' which started the installation flawlessly. Very weird stuff, but now it works. Thanks again for your help.Glad it worked out

Gparted wouldn't hurt but i don't think it's necessary here, if you do format it ext4.
Try installing with another USB stick and yes make sure to boot the USB stick in Legacy mode. -
Usually this process takes seconds.
Maybe trying another USB stick to make the install would help.

I always make sure to install in Bios/legacy mode as i get less problem,
also because i prefer to have 2 ext4 partition instead of 1 fat32 and 1 ext4.
You can try that. -
Not normal!
Zotac, can you be more specific?
Hardware, LibreELEC file downloaded for install. -
Sorry, I misread the linked post. Yes, the add-on.xml included the "1.1.1.1" version past "so". I reread the linked post and made sure mine was identical format.I no longer get the error message, but the ProjectM visualization still doesn't work. I just get a tiled background of speaker/music note icons.
Cheers,
RLW
Got some free time today to check ProjectM and got it working here.
Can you download and see if it works for you, here is the link.Make sure to uninstall previous version and delete it's addon/userdata folder prior to install this one.

Even if you end up getting LibreELEC installed on that machine, what do you sincerely expect from it.
Not to be mean but that hardware is not meant for Kodi or recent video processing.Anyway for video drivers, i think you better off trying a "minimal ubuntu" + Kodi install.

@kszaq you must be very busy.
Thanks for all your great work. -
For the messages you will have to edit your "extlinux.conf" file in the folder "flash", adding "morequiet" in the APPEND line like so;
CodeDEFAULT linux PROMPT 0 LABEL linux KERNEL /KERNEL APPEND boot=LABEL=System morequiet disk=LABEL=Storage quiet
SSH and send this command;
make the changes to the file, then SSH and send this command;
reboot -
Where is this way, please?
ThanssIt takes time to arrive but you can track it here

Sorry but you made it too easy for a little joke -
You won't get support as long as you have banned addons/repositories installed.
-
Or is the only way to transfer it the "Backup" app and restore in Programs in KODI?Easier if you use the Backup/Restore function included in LibreELEC, you would have to copy/move only one file.
-
You could boot "live" with Ubuntu to copy your LibreELEC backup file to an external media(USB stick).
From there you can reinstall LibreELEC and finally restore with your backup file. -
"ctrl,shift,o"
or
Create a keymap.xml file and save it in the keymaps folder, then edit the .xml file to;Code<keymap> <fullscreenvideo> <keyboard> <key id="61525">playerdebug</key> </keyboard> </fullscreenvideo> </keymap>
"61525" is the letter "u" on the keyboard of my remote.
Depending on if you are using a keyboard or a regular remote, you can change that to something better for you.

You might be able to redirect /storage, but i'm not sure you will have the same luck redirecting /var.

Try setting "Number of buffers used by graphics driver" at 2,
also "Enable HQ scalers for scaling above" try 30 or 40%,
try enabling or disabling Hardware acceleration to see if it makes a difference.Might also be a connection/network problem
-
Did you try the same file when when you tried in a different OS?
Looking at the specs of the hardware i wouldn't expect so much,
you are probably limited to H.264 720p.
