Remote works fine in libreleec too after this kernel patch (confirmed by spschneer).
Also kernel 4.8 was never affected with this bug.

Maybe you have some application using the drive.

And why do you need to reinstall to enable ssh? Go into settings and enable it there.

Actually it is not - I just checked with Raybuntu Will build new one.

You obviously doesn't have addon installed correctly. Remove both folders, reboot and install again. And wait for kodi to show you that addon is installed. Also check kodi log for any errors.

systemctl stop httpd
systemctl stop mysqld
rm -fr /storage/.kodi/addons/service.web.lamp
rm -fr /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.web.lamp
# reboot and install addon again

It is started automatically after addon is installed. But installation takes some time - just wait until you see message in kodi that lamp addon is installed.

If for some reason daemons doesn't start you can see some info with

systemctl status httpd
systemctl status mysqld
journalctl -a

About the deinterlace methods you need to ask imx6 kodi maintainer (mk01).

And no, compiling custom version will not help.

I would suggest you to remove build folder and build everything again in your home folder. I'm sure it should also work fine over nfs but maybe nfs server had some issues

You do know that v7 is using Kodi Jarvis and v8 is using Kodi Krypton? I would say lot of imx6 changes happen in between.

I think your problems must comment someone who is also using live tv (I didn't even try).
