It builds for others so I assume it must be something with your system. But I have no clue what.
And from what I saw you don't build official LE but some fork.

If you got only this then I don't see what could be wrong. Grep other files for ac_cv_target to see why it is wrong.

How did you play those streams? Directly or through some addon?

You don't need to repack SYSTEM file. Just boot your system normally and then mount file over.
So, put your new libcurl.so.4.5.0 file to /storage and put this line in autostart.sh file
Codemount -o bind /storage/libcurl.so.4.5.0 /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4.5.0and after reboot kodi will use your new file.

Did you checked kodi log? Or try also with evtest program (part of system tools addon I think).
