You need to update mariadb addon. I think you are still using it from LE10.

When importing LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0.4.ova everything just works automatically without user intervention.

I also noticed that importing on Vmware Workstation Pro 17 it doesn't fill the name of the virtual machine automatically like it does on older versions (compared only with v12).

Size difference:

I think storage partition has wrong size? Or is there some special install procedure for Virtual?

And I tried to explain the reason for this issue (tested myself). If you don't understand than I can't help more. When WOL feature is enabled and Kodi doesn't get ping response it will stall before playback start. When ping response is got it will play instantly. All this would be explained in the log which you don't provide. So happy using WOL disabled

I don't know if this happens also with old releases because I didn't test them and I will not do it either.

Post Kodi debug log and you will see message there that ping is not successful. So the ping request can't be send from your LE device or it doesn't come back to the device. And in this case you will see temporary freeze of Kodi.

In playlist.m3u8 file search for the link which doesn't play and add at the end

Kodi checks the server state by sending ping. If server doesn't respond to it it will wait for some time.

So if your server doesn't respond on ping or some firewall block it you will get the described situation.

Just tested the addon on LE with connection from Windows and it is working as it should. I only set correct kodi password in addon settings and Windows Kodi instance got connected without a problem.

So the addon still works as it was intended.

Isn't host part optional?

Does it work connecting from terminal?

And on which device you are playing? ARM? And can you post whole kodi log file?

I assume you are playing from network? And on which device?

Would be possible to share ISO and VIDEO_TS folder?
