    I'm running the newest Libreelec version with krypton on an old laptop, that is connected to my TV via the VGA1.
    Previously i had XBMCbuntu installed on the laptop and had kodi running in 1080p. In my current version however, I am not able to set the resolution higher than 1280x800p..
    On my previous XBMCbuntu installation, I had to add a new modeline using the xrandr function to get it to work, but now it seems the cvt or gtf commands to add a new modeline are not working anymore..

    As my TV is set on 1080p, i only get this smaller window in the top left corner of the screen.
    I could work around this by forcing the 1280x800p resolution on the VGA output using:

    Code
    $  xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x800 --rate 60

    But of course I would prefer using the full resolution of my TV and being able to set kodi to 1080p.
    Any suggestions on what i could try?

    thanks!
