PCSX2 is here :D The intel-core-avx build has been updated with an actual working version and the Generic image should be up soon as well. If you are updating to this build run the following in a terminal to update Emulationstation:

    cp /usr/config/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg /root/.config/emulationstation

Then put bios scph39001.bin (USA/NTSC) in your /storage/roms/bios and roms in /storage/roms/ps2. You can change bios and plugins by manually running /usr/bin/pcsx2.sh to get the GUI and configure from there. There's also the possibility to ALT+TAB while inside a game.

As always, a keyboard is handy to use emulators. The DS4v1 is autodetected and works (even rumble), although I couldn't get a second one working properly (also tested onepad-legacy). See my comment on a similar issue on their github. If anyone manages to fix it let me know. Probably not an issue with other gamecontrollers.

Are you sure for the command ?

    i think it will be

    Code
    cp /usr/config/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg /storage/.config/emulationstation

    escalade

I'm agree with you. for allocation memory failure.

i see in the logs in the lasts info that it force close kodi because of memory issues

again, thanks for your kindness and your help to identify our issues.

i just make a new test and it freeze with 47mb free memory, no responding at my remote, or ssh command, after a few minute it become available.

i modify the default allocated memory of gpu to 128Mb for having more memory for app and addons.

i use Kodi, Sonarr, Radarr, Jackett, Sabnzbd and Transmission. maybe it why it sometime seem to freeze.

I don't have the time to try emulation of navigation with a big library to see if it have a impact on system.

I read a lot of thing for RAM/GPU allocation on forum nobody seem to have the same opinion.

What do you think of this ?

Haven't seen that, though it's quite some time since I actually had an RPi device. For a system crash, what would be useful is the output of "journalctl -f" during the crash. Does it happen during unpacking or verification/repair? A new version is uploading in a few minutes, which includes an updated par2cmd. I switched to a version that includes openmp multithreading some time ago, perhaps the code is unstable with RPi. Worth giving the updated version a shot.

during the unpacking, at least it seem during unpacking.

i flash the build of 29/08

configure everything and do a test as soon as possible.

    thanks

    Hi,

did you have any problem with a RPi3 and sabnzbd ?

i explain, in my HTPC with Hasswell proc, it work perfectly (now) but in my Raspberry Pi 3 when it unpack the download file the RPi3 Freeze all the time, i need to unplug it and start again, connect to ssh and stop the service before it hang again (before it restart the unpacking of the download file).

the sabnzbd.log don't say anything about it (i think) because the system really hang, i can't do nothing, it completelly freeze when it happen.

i think of a overload of memory but i'm not sure of this.

Works fine when I start with a clean Transmission profile here and change the whitelist, you're doing something wrong. Same goes for sabnzbd, it works great here using it every day. It logs to /storage/.config/sabnzbd/logs/ you should be able to find something there. As for your RetroArch issue I have no idea as you are not providing logfiles as I clearly have stated you should do on the first page of this thread.

OK, i figured out why sabnzbd refuse to connect to my server at setup. if i configure it in french the test connection failed. if i configure it in english it working. strange but now i know why.

for transmission i follow your advice and stop the service modify the file setting.json with "rpc-whitelist": "127.0.0.1,*.*.*.*",

restart the service and voila !!!

    jaykass

Can't really think of a reason why the upgrade fails at that point, although I've noticed other users reporting the same previously. The upgrade process tries to mount SYSTEM on /storage/.update/.tmp/mnt which should work fine. I can mount the RPi SYSTEM manually on Generic without issue. Don't have an RPi to test.

    Try a clean install.

I found myself the solution for platforms, i have copy the theme directory (/etc/emulationstation/themes) to (/storage/.config/emulationstation/themes) and add the corresponding directory inside the theme.

it continue to say unknow platforms, but i can have in in emulationstation and can launch games, with a good looking way.

for PPSSPP after try several more CSO file, some have passed and working good.

For transmission i only enable the service and start it. whenether i restart the system the file setting.json is going to default setting whenether i modify before restart the system. I can't configure it via Webpage as i don't have access to it for the whitelist reason.

Really don't know why, i give it another try later.

For SABnzbd i read the logs file, but nothing state about a server failure inside.

    Whenether,

i love your works and continue to test it !!!!!

    Thanks

i start the transmission service as is explain in OP

but i can't have access over network in my computer, i have this message :

    Code
    403: Forbidden

    Unauthorized IP Address.

Either disable the IP address whitelist or add your address to it.

If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-whitelist' and 'rpc-whitelist-enabled' entries.

If you're still using ACLs, use a whitelist instead. See the transmission-daemon mainpage for details.

i stop the service with systemctl stop transmission and modify the setting.json file to disable rpc-whitelist and put rpc-whitelist-enabled to false.

But when i restart the service the setting is modify by itself and enable again rpc-whitelist.

i enable also sabnzbd service, but my hosting provider (newshosting.com) have a failure when i test it, if i use the addons from "https://github.com/thoradia/thoradia" is working good.

for emulationstation, i try several cso file for psp and not of it working, i only have a black screen.

i also want to add missing platforms theme or simply add another one but i can't have write access to /etc/emulationstation/themes

i can see in es_log.txt that some of my added platform is write as unknow

Where should i need to go to declare the platform ?

also when i try PPSSPP emulator (right now only with Tekken 6) i've got only a black screen.

is there something i missings ?

    Thanks

I flash the build LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2-devel-20170825.tar for updating my installation and have the same message

same here, wait for new build (and maybe a new build for clean install on Haswell too)

    i have this in /var/logs/emulationstation.log

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'

    what(): locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid

    Aborted (core dumped)

    sorry i don't understand

Edit : i remove Locale extention and now it start to launch with a short black screen and return to kodi.

    now i have :

    ConfigPath /storage/.config/emulationstation

    Segmentation fault (core dumped)

    in /var/logs/emulationstation.log

    Hi,

i make a new install into my Zotac XBOX ID-91 (Haswell proc) because when i try tu update with your build, it say my partition is to small.

so i make a new usb key with LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2-devel-20170824.img.gz (that is not haswell optimisez) and after setup my system put the LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2-devel-20170824.tar in Storage/Update for updating to haswell optimised build, but Emulationstation is not loading.

    chrome is working good.

Spotify is working (i need to change audio output).

I hade some core but i see you group some video game system :

ex: Genesis that's open .mdx .md .smd .gen .bin .cue .iso .sms .gg .sg .zip

all this extention correspond to Genesis, Sega CD, Master System and GameGear curiously you don't had 32x for Sega32x

    is that's correct ?

this is my own es_systems.cfg after hading some core and category:

for sure i hade the corresponding core to tmp/cores/

    but emulestation don't load

    Just a few question :

    • - i don't know if it's already asked but can i switch my Official Libreelec 8.0.2 installation to this one without erase my disk ?

I have a dual boot with win 7 in my hard drive on a Zotac ZBOX ID91 and don't want to do it again.

    • - I prefer to use Aeon for skin, it's old but i don't really like estuary, how i can add the emulationstation link to it ?
    • - I see in the Github that emulestation have this core :
    Display Spoiler
    Code
Out of the box Emulationstation will look for roms in /storage/roms/(amiga|c64|mame|fba|gba|dreamcast|n64|psx|psp|saturn|snes|nes|nds). BIOS files should be put in /storage/roms/bios. Configured input controllers are DS4 (bluetooth) and keyboard. Configuration is in /storage/.config/emulationstation.

Can i add other core like in the batoceralinux or recalbox ?
