I have loaded Codesnakes 8.1.1 M8S+ version which is Kodi 7.4 and the Module Load issue has gone away and I have wifi on the Q2. I am also not experiencing the video sync issue. So for now I shall stick with that.

Demetris I have to installed the final on my box with success but my stock remote has no life I had to plug in a USB mouse to finalize install.
I concur. I had the same issue. I had to install my original remote remote.conf file to the Configfiles directory.

Demetris, I have installed your latest final on my Matrcom GBox Q2. On boot I receive a message stating a Job has been started to load modules. A timer displays and this time runs to 4 minutes 30 seconds, at which time it issues a message that the Load Modules failed. The boot process continues and finally completes. Is there a particular debug log you would like to see?
I also find that when starting a video or skipping ahead the video stream goes out of sync momentarily. I get a No Signal on my display. I wonder if the resolution or fps is somehow changing. I have the Libreelec video settings set to 1080p and 60 fps.
Any thoughts? How can I help troubleshoot these issues. Thanks.

Doesn't the M8S also use the AP6330 WIFI chipset? Does Demetris' M8S image file work with the AP6330?
Demetris can jump in here but I expect it his builds don't support the AP6330 then any hardware with that chipset will not work.

Hello, I have a Matricom Gbox Q2 and read that this uses the S812 CPU. Is this correct? If yes, can I use Demetris' image files and which one should I flash? Also, where can I find the instructions to flash? Thanks!
If you need WiFi these builds will not work for you. They do not support the AP6330 wifi chipset which is what the Q2 uses.

Well it is time to move to different hardware. Matricom seems to be dead. Having said that there are builds that work quite well on these boxes. Use the s8x2 arm M8 build from Demetris for the Q. For the Q2 you need to use the Balbes build from this thread. The Q2 uses the BCM wifi chip which is not in Demetris's build but I am hopeful he will have it for the LE 8.2 release.

Sorry that was a typo. Bloody autocorrect. It is the G Box Q.
The arm m8 version works well on the Q. Don't install this for the Q2 though, you need the M8S version, however the WiFi is not working right now. Demetris knows about the issue and I am hopeful he will get it resolved with the 8.2 release.

Demetris, further info, the WiFi works in balbes150 LibreELEC-S812.M8S.arm-8.0.2 firmware. Although with that firmware I am getting system crashes so it is not a solution.
