The only real difference, it that unlike OSMC where you can install most things with sudo apt install xxxxx, with LE you cannot as it is a read only system. If you have non Kodi installs then you will need to check if LE has something that will suit your needs.

Tvheadend server and client are available as addons.

If you're happy with the performance of Kodi on OSMC, then it will be just as good, if not better .

One thing you'll need to advise is the TV tuner used, as this can be an issue.

The best thing to do is install LE on a new SD card and give it a try and see if it meets your needs.

As you’re on a USB you have nothing to loose by making a LE backup of your current release. Then create a new 8.2.5 USB boot, and then restore the original backup.

Generally each *new* release solves earlier problems/bugs and adds improvements.

You're not too far behind the "latest" release, so if you are happy with what you have, then there is no real reason for you to upgrade. However, if you do need to upgrade to LE 9 (Kodi 18) then you really should be on the "latest" release.

Hmm. I have a edimax Wifi dongle and it works perfectly on my hardware, but I don't have an ODroid so I cannot comment on that H/W.

I've tried to replicate your problem using the information you have detailed but I do not get the same options. Can you be a bit more detailed explaining how to duplicate your issue.

Once finished: Login with ssh.

5. nano Dockerfile

6. Now install docker python

I think the best you can do is stick with OpenElec or try lower resolutions is the twitch setting. There is an open ticket for lagging Here
