If you want to be able to access it via LE then you need to look at what addons are available. I know pcloud, Gdrive, Onedrive and dropbox are available. However, you're going to have to pay a monthly fee for any sensible storage space (~$100py for 1TB).

You could look at Amazon AWS which will only charge for what you use but it's difficult to work out what the costs will be and I'm not too sure if you can access it via LE.

Personally I would spend the money on x2 4TB HDD and keep one off site and synchronize weekly/monthly

Can you not just change your timezone to a country/state which is +/- 1 hour?

I know there have been issues with 4K @ 60Hz in the past on X86 (Search the LE forums) The best solution is to try the LE 9 alpha builds where a lot of bugs have been fixed.

I would have a look at the BIOS settings to see if there a way to alter the "Lid closed" options.

There are many sites available - it all depends on what you intend to upload, how much (Gbytes) and how you intend to use it.

If you want to upload movies - then you could run into copyright issues - even if it's legit.

If it's just for file system stuff then Gdrive, Mega, Onedrive or dropbox are fine.

I think your best bet is to reinstall LE8 and wait for a "more" stable release of LE for now.

I would try LE 8.90.008 first and see if you have the same problems.

Generally most small computers (RPi etc) once shutdown cannot be restarted without a power cycle. I know that some AMLogic computers can be powered on with the remote - but I'm not aware of anything that would wake up when you switch the TV on.

I'm not aware of a X92 but if it's like other SBC the power consumption is limited. (An Rpi (depending on model) is only about £5 - £10 py)

Which version of LE9? If not 008 it might be worth upgrading.

I've just installed 8.2.5 on a RPi3B+ and on the initial setup screen I can see my 5Ghz network but when I try to connect I get "Network error". I then changed the country to UK, timezone to London, the keyboard to UK (In LibreELEC settings) and rebooted.

Then in LibreELEC settings --> Connections, I connected successfully to my 5Ghz network.

You need to go to Settings --> Interface --> Regional to set location and timezone. A reboot is probably required as well.

EDIT: Apologies talking rubbish. Looks like cmdline.txt does need to be edited.

So cmdline.txt should look like at first.

boot=/dev/sda1 disk=/dev/sda2 quiet

Once up and running - change to UUID - change to your UUID values.

mount -o remount,rw /flash

boot=UUID=755A-75E5 disk=UUID=b2f9a5b6-1120-49c4-bc8f-a65245122d03 quiet

This should only be required on <= LE8. LE9 uses UUIDs automatically.

You'll need to ask the openELEC forum

I think the latest problem is due to duplicate UUID's

How did you create the LE image on your USB drive?

/dev/sdb1 should be msdos - So OK but the LABEL is "LIBREELECT" which is wrong.

/dev/sdb2 should be ext4 NOT msdos.

Use LE Writer to write LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.2.5.img.gz to your USB drive.

Boot the RPI with this USB (Don't touch cmdline.txt) - don't use a SD card nor plugin your Seagate Backup Plus Drive.

/boot should have a LABEL of LIBREELEC /root should have a LABEL of STORAGE

If this sounds vague, it's because I'm doing it from memory - it's been a while since I've done this.
