I had previously installed to internal and don’t have “original android” image files. Is it possible to undo back to SD card or update to latest generic S905x Libre/Core?

I am currently working on improving Amlogic support in LibreELEC and Kodi master.
Does this mean S905X and other Amlogic devices may become officially supported Kodi builds (instead of community supported)?

Just put the img and dtb file into /storage/.update ..My understanding is that uploading dtb file is only necessary if it has been modified since last update (which hardly/never happens) - is this incorrect?

.. just download the version to the /storage/.update directory, do a sync, and then reboot ..
What is this 'sync' you're referring to?

Audio hardware of Amlogic isn´t HiFiIsn't the idea that your (Denon AVR X3300) receiver does DAC and amplification (from HDMI)?

With 8.0.1a on Mini M8S II, I have an issue with non-bitstream output, that is, normal Kodi click sounds (activate by remote control movement) and (stereo) music files. (Bitstreaming, including DTS-MA/TrueHD works fine.) The setup is M8S II, to Yamaha AVR, to Sony FHD TV.
The only way I can hear normal Kodi click and stereo sound is if either:
1. Settings -> System -> Audio -> Output Configuration is "Fixed";
OR
2. Settings -> System -> Audio -> Output Configuration is not "Fixed" AND Stereo Upmix is enabled AND Number of Channels is not "2.0".Using Option 1 prevents bitstreaming, so, no good; option 2 means upmixing for my music, which I don't want. (Note: Audio output device is always "ALSA, AML-M8AUDIO, HDMI".)
Have I misconfigured something, found a bug, or found incompatibility?

NO The device tree won't need updating. No change to device trees with this Update.Thank you... Should I store it there anyway (for next time), or, does that folder get emptied after reboot?

Apologies for newbness....
Just as you would expect, after yesterday, installing my first libreELEC (8.0.0g, using gxl_p212_2g.dtb) on my new M8s II, to internal memory, today, kszaq released a new version.
My questions are regarding "Updating" section (thread-5556.html "Note: You should also download a new device tree, and put in Update folder with an update file. You should have both files in Update folder before rebooting. You do not need to rename device tree file before updating."
Questions:
1. does "Update folder" mean "/storage/.update" folder?
2. did above mean that I need to download "gxl_p212_2g.dtb" and store in "/storage/.update" folder with the new image file?
