Spin down and power off usb drive before system shutdown?

Hi,

Is there a chance to have a connected usb drive spin down (and power off, if possible) when using shutdown command in KODI/LibreELEC?

I have a Chromebox with LibreELEC and my usb hard drive is making a scary noise when I shut down the system. Like CLACK (very loud).

I am assuming that the usb power is cut off before the usb drive is in the correct parking mode?
