New Odroid C2 user here. Fresh install of the latest image (7.90.010) - totally vanilla setup, no addons. I have some issues with black screens flashing up during skipping/seeking with all H.264 content (happening in a variety of resolutions/framerates incl. the most common of my media: 720p/23.796 and 1080p/23.976). I have one 4K sample video which uses H.265 which exhibits this behaviour too.
My Kodi UI is set to 1920x1080@60Hz
To describe more: during seeking at 2x and above, the screen blanks and only flashes the video and skin OSD for a fraction of a second repeatedly every few seconds or so until you go back to playing at 1x speed again, you can't really see the video at anything above 8x to determine when to stop seeking since it only flashes up every so often - upon pressing play again the video is very jerky for a few seconds wherein it sorts itself out again.
I've tried all manner of combinations of the settings in "adjust display refresh rate" (I usually use "On start/stop" everywhere else I use Kodi with great success). I've tried toggling the "film mode" of my TV on/off (which I've never had cause to do with any other source), and even trying "sync playback to display" (which I don't want to do since I need bitstreaming) - all to no avail. The behaviour is there in all instances.
If I turn off amcodec acceleration, the black screens stop occurring and seeking/skipping is usable, but the first few seconds of video are still jerky upon resuming normal speed play. This is not a real workaround though since you lose h/w acceleration.
Is there anything I can do to alleviate this, or is there a bug here?
I've also been trying wrxtasy's October community build of 7.1.0 from ODROID Forum • View forum - LibreELEC - Kodi Project of Jarvis which works OK in this regard (but has a few other issues for me I won't go into here), but the December release of 7.1.1 (also of Jarvis) which is great in almost every way also exhibits this same issue as 7.90.010. I guess the kernel code there is similar with this release which is causing the h/w accel. problem?
