[Generic-legacy] Boot loop on 12.2.1 with old AMD hardware (Radeon HD 3650) — works fine on 12.0.2

    Hi,

    I have an old PC with the following specs:
    - CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
    - GPU: Radeon HD 3650
    - RAM: 2GB DDR2
    - Motherboard: ASUS M2R-FVM (Socket AM2)
    - Storage: 128GB SanDisk SSD
    - Legacy BIOS

    I am running LibreELEC with the Generic-legacy image.

    Version 12.0.2 boots and works perfectly fine. However, version 12.2.1 (fresh install, no existing config) causes a boot loop: the LibreELEC logo appears, the mouse cursor flickers on and off a few times, and then the system reboots — endlessly.

    I have tested both versions on the same hardware with a clean install, so I don't think it is a config issue.

    Has anyone experienced this?
