Migrating from RPi 4 to RPi 5.

    Im upgrading from a RPi 4 to and RPi 5, and will install a new version of LibreELEC. Can I use my Kodi backup from my RPi 4 installation and restore it to the new LibreELEC 12 RPi5?

    Yes.

    1. LibreELEC Configuration -> System -> Backup -> Create System and Kodi Backup

    2. Clean Install RPI5 with LE Image + Basic Konfiguration

    3. LibreELEC Configuration -> System -> Backup -> Import System and Kodi Backup

    Works very well. I do that too.

    One more little information: If you are not upgrading from Kodi 19, please note, that there was a major update to a new Python version in Kodi 19. For Installations before 19 a complete reinstallation is the best way and almost unavoidable. Klick Here for Info
