Hi - I was trying to download images from https://libreelec.tv/downloads/generic/ and in Chrome 98.0.4758.102 and when I clicked on any of the target links nothing seemed to happen - no errors, no popups.
So I tried Edge instead (98.0.1108.56) and for link https://releases.libreelec.tv/LibreELEC-Gene…6_64-10.0.1.ova I got the message "LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0.1.ova can't be downloaded securely". Clicked on the ... in the download popup notification, then "Copy download link" and pasted that download link directly into the Edge address bar (http://libreelec.mirrors.uk2.net/releases/Libre…6_64-10.0.1.ova) which then worked ok.
Another workaround : the https download links are getting redirected to (insecure) http links, and Chrome by default has a site setting of "Download insecure content: Blocked" resulting in the clicks doing nothing. I also was able to change the Chrome site settings (for https://libreelec.tv/) and change that "Download insecure content" value to "Allowed" and then the downloads work normally.
But the question remains: why do the outwardly-secure (https) release links get redirected to vanilla http?
