Hi everybody!
First of all I want to say, that I'm really excited about Libreelec / Kodi and the whole communitys behind it!
I'm really really new to all that things - linux, kodi / libreelec, ....
I've switched from a long used MediaPortal installation under Windows 7/8(.1)/10 to v7.90.007 ALPHA 3 days ago, because I had much trouble with my HDMI-Sound since an upgrade of my HTPC under windows (no sound after resume and many more).
Also I've "a problem" since the first day with using a whole windows-installation just for a MediaCenter - so I've looked over to XBMC / Kodi some more times before without doing the jump.
I really like Windows (10) and will stay there with my gaming rig - but just for running a mediacenter.... naa.
Anyway.
Libreelec is running great on my htpc, but one Problem left for me:
I'm owner of 2 digital devices cine c/t v6 with a flex ci.
While the cards / tuners are doing theire job fine, I have to use my ci to decrypt (HD) Channels from Sky and Kabel Deutschland/Vodafone.
I've read through the whole Internet (just feeling so) the last Days to get more familiar with the problem of the dd cis and the resolutions, which are available.
So I already tried to get things working with redirecting to the ci, but wasn't able to get it running finaly.
Besides, I have often more than 2 of my 4 tuners (Cable) in use, so that a redirect of one fixed tuner to the ci woan't be the Holy Gral at all.
Second / last option (I don't want to use a software solution or smargo-reader) is the ddci2 Plugin for vdr, found here at git: GitHub - jasmin-j/vdr-plugin-ddci2: Support for stand alone CI by Digital Devices for VDR 2.1.7 and higher.
This way (if the plugin is still working with vdr 2.2.0) I would not have to hassle with the redirect and the ci / cam fixed to one tuner.
Also there have been first attempts to get MTD running - even if I'm not sure if there is even developement on it.
Soooooo,
can somebody give me a hint (better how-to) or detailed description, if i can get the stated plugin running with vdr on my system and important if: how the heck can I do this?
Like I said (maybe someone can guess out of my questions etc.) I'm very nooby on that at all...
