SOLVED: Fresh Install on Zero W Crashes within Seconds

  • EDIT: Solved it. Turns out the default driver loaded for my wireless keyboard/touchpad combo (Logitech K400r) doesn't play nicely with my distro. Cycled through other interface devices and no more problems.

    Hi there,

I'm new to Pi and I picked up a Zero W on Pi day. I got Raspbien working just fine, but I'm having trouble with Kodi (LibreELEC). It starts ok, but freezes or crashes and reboots (sometimes one, sometimes the other) after about a minute or two. I initially only got about 10 seconds before the crash, but in my troubleshooting I turned on force_turbo=1 in the config.txt, which seemed to give me enough stability to quickly turn on Logging before it froze again.

As such I do have a crash log:

    kodi_crashlog_20190318193822.log

    Hardware:

    - Raspberry Pi Zero W

    - 32GB Microcenter SD Card (exact same issue with a Samsung EVO Micro SD, using this one to explore other options)

    - PSU 5.1V at 2.5A

    Install Process:

    - Formatted SD Card with SD Formatter

    - Flashed LibreELEC-RPi.arm-8.2.5.img.gz onto the card with Etcher

(tried LibreELEC-RPi.arm-9.0.1.img.gz as well, same problem, maybe a few extra seconds of stability)
