[8.90.1] CoreELEC for S905/S912 devices

  • Not a CoreELEC issue.

  • So what? CoreELEC uses Kodi, and if it's not remembering the last used sound channel, you should post in the Kodi or whatever addon your are using support.

  • The Coolest is correct, this is a Kodi/add-n issue

CoreELEC is an basically a minimal linux distribution on which to run Kodi.

We can help with hardware related issues with the actual box you are running CoreELEC on but anything beyond that is outside of our remit.

  • Perfect now understood

Well when you said It's not a CoreELEC problem

I thought I was saying that this problem does not exist.

Thank you for the reply, gentlemen.

    My apologies for the wrongdoing.

It is useless knowledge if not shared the world.

  • Been running the alpha since it came out and created the 2 files to make my remote work. Updating to 8.90.1 seems to of changed summit remote wise. I’m getting a lot of double presses on the remote. Nothing else system wise has changed.

    Matt

never mind, fixed it with the harmony settings.

  • Almost every post or 'experience' you have made here is about 1 problem or another, poor signal, frozen picture, not responding, not rebooting, jerky picture, buffering issues, partitions not resizing, cec not working.

You don't heed the advice you are given so I suggest you buy another device for Kodi because you are just not going to get the experience you are looking for, maybe an RPi3b+ would better suit your needs they are a quality piece of kit that will be give you wonderful 4k playback, working HDR, buttery smooth streaming and super fast wifi for your hardcore pornography collection.

most of the things also happen with le 8 and 9 on a kaby lake setup.

so i will keep my mouth shut now. :)

  • Just a hint for all those having trouble with Remotes.

I am using a cheap air mouse for all my TV boxes. You can get it eg. from Amazon for less than 10 Euro.

It is working with kodi out of the box. You have also a working air mouse for Android, a mic for "ok Google" voice commands and a keyboard for all kodi shortcuts.

Its called VOSO Fly Airmouse 2. And no - I have nothing to do with the manufacturer or reseller.

  • Will check again tonight, maybe some first day thingy :)

    Looks like it was...

Checked temperatures tonight. Playing a 2h movie (on X96Mini) with overclocked GPU to 666MHz, the temp stayed at 54°C. After I left it idle for 90min the temp was 52°C. So everything is OK, don't know what was happening yesterday...

  • I have a Tronsmart S95 Telos box (S905)
Did a fresh install on an SDCard, everything is running fine.

Today I got an update notification, but the update file does not seem to download.
My update settings are on automatic.

I check the posts and the FAQ, checked my Coreelec setting too. Could not find an issue or information on this behaviour.
    Any tips?

    Thanks

  • Try to set default audio language to Portuguese. Settings -> Player -> Language -> Preferred audio language -> Portuguese.

  • None of the remote buttons work on 8.90.1.

    Hi.

I have just upgraded from 8.90.0 to 8.90.1 in a Vorke z6 and a similar problem arose. In my case, some of the keys were not working properly, such as the "OK". I solved it by removing the delay and period I had set in the autostart.sh:

    Code
    1. ir-keytable -D 400 -P 200

Then, I rebooted and the remote began to work again. I think that, with the change in 8.90.1 to support long-presses, some adjustments shall be made or these tricks removed.

Just give it a try ;)

  • I know its a fairly low priority item, but any idea when will timeshift become available again within TVH.

  • Try to set default audio language to Portuguese. Settings -> Player -> Language -> Preferred audio language -> Portuguese.

Friend afl1 Thanks for the help!

    Everything is set as usual

but the language does not fix

change of audio must be made whenever the channel changes

I reported the problem in the Kodi forum, I already had the answer that is a wrong line

I believe it should be corrected./shrug

    Thank you.
