[8.90.1] CoreELEC for S905/S912 devices

  • answer to your question is in the FAQ

  • your DTB has not updated, the only way this would happen is if you are using a really old one or copied an old one into the update folder

  • your DTB has not updated, the only way this would happen is if you are using a really old one or copied an old one into the update folder

I had kszaq's build LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.2.3.1.img - on this one my IR remote was working fine.

Then I uploaded CoreELEC-S905.arm-8.90.1.tar into the update folder.

After the update I had to rename the partitions to boot it...

And that's basically it - now it just says "No devices found".

Is there some log file that I can check?

  • you need to read, the way remotes work is different, on the 8.2 versions you created a remote.conf

It all changed with 8.9, it is not a remote.conf now

I'm sorry but this has been pointed out several times

Samsung RU7400 Onkyo HTX22HDX Nvidia Shield HD Homerun Duo (Living Room)

Samsung UE40ES5500 H96 Pro (Coreelec), Fire TV 4K Stick (Bedroom)

    Synology DS414 Plex Pass

    :)

  • GDPR-2 I have a similar problem with the latest build (8.90.1), the M1 remote isnt working in kodi.

But if I stop kodi and run:
    ir-keytable -t

I can see the expected scancodes. If I revert to 8.90.0 the remote works again.

    Any logs I can submit?

    2xMinix U1, Onkyo NR626 and Samsung 40" 4K TV

  • When you say the remit isn't working, do you mean all buttons or just some?

  • Read the [email protected]#$%

  • Been running the alpha since it came out and created the 2 files to make my remote work. Updating to 8.90.1 seems to of changed summit remote wise. I’m getting a lot of double presses on the remote. Nothing else system wise has changed.

I did read FAQ and I understand that the old remote.conf will not work.

I tried many of the new config files, but none of them worked...

So I was trying to get the the codes using ir-keytable command, but it fails saying that the input device is not there.

So I guess the problem is not about finding a proper config file.

Because how can my remote possibly work if the input device isn't there?

Did You replace the old DTB file ?

  • Did You replace the old DTB file ?

    Not really.

I'm using the one that came with LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.2.3.1.img assuming it has not been overwritten by the update.

I would not know what to replace it with.

Update Device tree if you receive the 'no devices found' message or your remote does not work with above devices with remote baked in image.

This was literally in the first post of the LE9.0 remote thread.

You need to update your DTB

  • There seems to be a problem with Dvbsky Sundtek tuners:

    Code

Such an issue was also present on ksaq's build, but the tuner was working fine with Raybuntu's.

I can provide more info, but I think the topic was already discussed..

Thats Your fault - replace the DTB and configure Your remote - thats it

I have a slight problem in changing channel audio to Portuguese

Made a channel change it returns to English as default.

In summary the change of the audio has to be made whenever channel

    change.

The remote control here is perfect.
