Playing GoPro .mp4 Video on LibreELEC 8.2.3 17.6 Krypton on RaspberryPi 2

Hi,

just upgraded my copy of openELEC to LibreELEC 8.2.3 Krypton 17.6 on a RaspberryPi 2 to try and cure a problem where openELEC wouldn't play mp4 videos from a GoPro. I have a SMB drive mapped to a NAS containing GoPro mp4 videos. When I try and play a video it plays about first 3 seconds of it then stops. Any ideas on how I can cure this issue? The system plays avi videos from the same source without issue.

afaik there are problems with GoPro recordings, according to VideoPlayer: discard repair track from GoPro recordings it is fixed with Kodi18

you can try an LE9/Milhouse build if it works there
