Intel Compute Stick STK1AW32SC Assistance

  • Hey folks, I am super new to Linux and was hoping for some advice / help ..

I have installed Ubuntu on my Intel Compute Stick STK1AW32SC, so that my wife can use it to play back video from my NAS and do her Facebook / Emails etc..

With a raw installation, everything works great except the audio – Simply put, there is none ☹

The problem is that there is no Sound Hardware detected and it defaults to “Dummy Output”

I googled as much as I could, found suggestions and got directed to Linuxium for his Re-Spin methods.

Unfortunately as I am 100% new to Linux, I have run into a wall and have now reached the extreme limits of my abilities ☹

A friend put me onto a stripped down Pre-Built version here, which does indeed work in a capacity for the primary purpose I was wanting.

    ( Intel Compute Stick BOXSTCK1A8LFCL )

However I was hoping I could get some assistance to get a fully-fledged Ubuntu OS working, so that we can use it for more than just video streaming.
