This morning I did a new install of LibreELEC on my RPi3 using the latest beta. In the past, I've used my RF remote easily, it was just plug and play, and I only have to do a couple of keymap edits to have things working 100% hunky dory.
The remote is an August PCR 500, but I think it's just some generic RF device from China really.
I can tell that the USB receiver is being detected, because the airmouse button works, and the others do not. Notably they aren't detected at all when I used the keymap editor to try and remap the buttons.
I decided to do some logging and see what was going on.
Here, you'll be able to see hundreds (thousands?) of unknown RelEvents, which are the airmouse. As far as I can see, the other button presses aren't showing up here at all.
This suggests to me it's something to do with the drivers for the receiver?
I've simply rolled back to version 7.03 and am using that again, but I thought I should flag this up in case it matters.
